Amuleto by Crystal Jade, Mid Valley

Last Wednesday, i went to this Restaurant, Amuleto which is under the Crystal Jade Group and attended the food tasting/review session there. Yes both Crystal Jade restaurant and Amuleto restaurant are under the same company.

Upon reaching, i see many familiar faces. Other than the 2 peeps(Andrew & Ken) whom i was expecting, i saw KY, Pinky, DavidLian, Jason, Jen, Rames Junn and Jess. Awesome. Lolx

Alright, i shall go straight to the food okay?

Western Salmon "Lo San" Rm68(Large) Rm50(Small) - 3/5

This was the first dish that was served and it was a totally unexpected dish. I mean like i don't expect my first "LouSang" of the year to be like this. In my mind, the very first one of such "Lou Sang" session will be like either with my family members or some close friends and not in such a session. A food review session. Lolx.

Well no complaints hehe, it's an item specially for this coming Chinese New Year, on the dish itself, it is an EXTREMELY healthy dish as they had lots of vegetables in it.

Western Salmon "Lo San" Rm68(Large) Rm50(Small) - 2.5/5

Compared to the usual "
LouSang" dish we get outside, this specific one had its taste a bit tone down. So it would be a favourite for people who don't fancy heavy tastes on their food and wish to eat healthier. After all, its a western style Lou San. =D

Benito Chicken Consomme Rm12 - 4/5

The one we had next was this soup that is on the Valentine's Day set menu. I like the soup and it's taste where i think that it's just right. Not too heavy or tasteless. Hehe.

Tango Prawn - Rm12 - 3/5

Another dish in the Valentine's Day set menu and i'm a fan of prawns. Haha. I love this one, and the prawn was FRESH! NICE. If you notice, the prawns were placed to assemble a love shape there. =)

The next few ones were from the Amuleto Main Menu then...

BBQ Shisamo Fish - Rm12 - 4/5

Da BBQ Shisamo Fish!! This is uber nice!! Esp when you eat it with the sauce they provide, the whole Shisamo Fish down. Pretty awesome one! Serious. Its crispy and taste like a fish? Haha With the sauce, it's a bit sweet and its just nice with the fish.

Black Pepper Diced Mutton (Vegetarian) Rm18 - 3/5

This vegetarian dish is just nice only. I still prefer real Mutton hahaha. I wonder which place have the the best "Mutton" vegetarian dish where it taste exactly like mutton. Hmm. Are there any?

Rosti Mushroom Rm14 - 2.5/5

the sauce that comes along.

I think that this is a rather simple dish where the mushroom sauce is just okay.

Braised Lamb Shank Rm35 - 4/5

This last dish we had. BEST! and i think that if i were to pay for every single dish i ate that night, i would be most willing in paying this specific dish where the portion is quite alot for that price in such f&b venue. (yeh Malaysians...) They really cooked it where the smell of the lamb(yong sou) is not so heavy and i like it really much.

Oh and before i forget, we had a little mini fashion display by 360Degree during the session. =D

Green Tea Tiramisu Rm12 - 2.5/5

Last but not least, we had green tea tiramisu to sum up the whole meal.
