Smashin' Gathering For Bloggers by AMBP

Smashin' Gathering for Bloggers was the 2nd AMBP Bloggers Gathering. The first one was early this year in Starbucks Midvalley and i missed it.

i was lucky to be selected to go for this gathering that have limited spaces. Thanks to my friend who informed me about the gathering which have me RSVP-ing myself to the gathering just one day after it was announce on AMBP site.

I brought my friend ShuJian there as my guest because he failed to be selected as he submitted his details later than me.

Anyway, i thought that i was late only to find out that the event will be delayed because of a specific demonstration in KL which leads to a traffic jam and some speakers were stuck in the jam.

i didn't really expect to meet anyone that i know in this gathering but when i went in.. i saw JOSHUA!!! to be exact - UncleJosh.

Our fellow blogger, Kimberly Low who blogs @ kimberlycun.com was the first one to give a talk. Basicly she talk about her blog, how she started and how it influence her life, it was simple and nice. =)

Peter Tan, the disability advocate who blogs @ petertan.com voicing out for the disabled people through his blog gave a talk which is related to what he does. What he said makes me come back to my humble self again realizing that how lucky i am and i didn't know that there're so much problems that the disabled people must face, including the one with airlines company all over the world.

Aizuddin Danian was another speaker who attracted my attention with his talk on PetalingStreet.org. He is the founder of the famous blog aggregator PPS and he told us quite some interesting stuffs including the search function that i don't know. O.o

Chin Vin Sen of CinemaOnline shared with us about movie marketing on facebook.

Rohan Thomas representing Microsoft shared on incorporating photos on facebook to blogs which is an interesting topic for me but i doubt that will work with the slow internet service which causes many problems to internet users in Malaysia. Unless they upgrade the speed, if not.. Useless.

Bumped into another friend there, Julian Hopkins. Have been sometime since i last met him =)

One good thing about this gathering is they have food and drinks provided for us. I was hungry at the end of all the talks..... hahaha

Both SimonSeow and KennyChoo was one of the fastest one who got their hands on the food hahahaha....

Someone came after the party for the screening of Incredible Hulk and he attracted the crowd, like he always does.

I keep meeting people i don't expect to meet at this gathering and i must say that this specific person is the most unexpected one!!!

His name is Andrew and this is the first time i get to know him. Our very first conversation was pretty predictable for bloggers - "my name is blablabla"

and eventually we'll ask where are you from and what are you doing.

Guess what i found out?

When i mentioned the name of my company that i'm doing my internship i don't expect anybody to know what company is that.

AND ANDREW REPLIED : OHHHHHH!!! I HAD MY INTERNSHIP THERE BEFORE ALSO!! JUST LAST YEAR!! WE HAVE A BUNCH OF INTERNS THAT TIME!!

(same like my batch, a bunch of interns... swt.. talking about a company making full use of interns.... Zzzzz)

and our chat went on and on about how lame it was... HAHAHA

alright i don't want to bore you with that.

we have the quiz & lucky draw after the meal and fellowship session

and we - DGMB-ians got ourselves with most of the prizes hahahahaha, we're EVIL!!

the event ended and most of them headed to the screening of Incredible Hulk with me leaving the place for KLX.
